Requirements
  • Requires a Professional Engineering License, or the ability to obtain one within one year.
  • Experience working with the Utah Department of Transportation and good knowledge of standards and requirements.
  • Solid analytical, conceptual, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills to interface with all levels of personnel, including leadership, as well as clients.
  • Eagerness to work and thrive in a team environment.
  • Willingness to be a team player & to contribute as a team to address project needs.
  • May be required to perform administrative-type duties as required, i.e., copying and collating plans and preparing/delivering submittals.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work productively without supervision.
  • Capacity to work under pressure to meet client-imposed project deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, BlueBeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Openness to follow company CAD drafting standards and procedures.

Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with the Utah Department of Transportation and good knowledge of standards and requirements.
  • Prior experience with drafting or design with MicroStation or OpenRoads in fields of transportation engineering would be preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, BlueBeam, and Adobe Acrobat.
Education
  • (Not required) – Completed civil engineering degree, preferably with an emphasis on Transportation.
